M is for Malware
The word ‘Malware’ is a fusion of the two words ‘Malicious’ and ‘Software’ and is used to describe any piece of software that has been purposely designed to damage files, steal data, annoy the user, hijack the PC or any other of a wide variety of malicious activities. Most people incorrectly use the term ‘computer virus’ to describe any kind of software attack on their PC. Malware is the correct term for any kind of malicious software whether a virus, trojan, worm or anything else.
